The Turei are a species from the Delta
Quadrant. They are currently the keepers of subspace corridors that go
throughout the galaxy. This used to belong to the
Vaadwaur. The Turei led an alliance against the Vaadwaur to took
control of the corridors.
The Turei thought the Vaadwaur defeated, the Turei
maintained their control over the underspace until 2376 when the U.S.S.
Voyager entered it.
