Son'a

The Son'a are a materialist humanoid race descended from the Ba'ku.  They left their home in the 2270s after they tried to take over.

After they left, the Son'a established a technologically advanced society.  In 2325, they made the Tarlac and the Ellora species as indentured slaves.

They equipped their ships with unpredictable subspace weapons.  Weapons of this nature were banned by the Second Khitomer Accord.

They also manufactured large amounts of ketracel-white for the Dominion.  One of their storage facilities was located at Devos II.

The Son'a would make regular visits to facilities where their skin is stretched tight.  Accumulated toxins are also purged from their bodies.  By the 2370s, the Son'a were nearing death.

In 2375, a group of Son'a attempted to access the metaphasic particles around the Ba'ku planet.  Doing this would make the planet uninhabitable.

The planet was within Federation space and the Son'a agreed to move the Ba'ku to another planet.

Lieuentent Commander Data discovered the Starfleet plan to move the Ba'ku.  Captain Jean-Luc Picard would go on to discover the relation between the Son'a and the Ba'ku.

Son'a leader Ru'afo would go on and kill Admiral Matthew Dougherty and deploy the metaphasic collector.  Picard was able to stop the collector.  Many of the Son'a would go on and return home.
