Biography
Captain Benjamin Sisko was born in 2332 in New Orleans on Earth.
His parents were
Joseph and Sarah Sisko. His father hid the truth about his real mother until 2375.
He entered Starfleet Academy in 2350. He graduated in 2354. During his sophomore year, he spent a field-study assignment at Starbase 127.
He was mentored by Curzon Dax while they were on Pelios Station.
The two later served aboard the U.S.S. Livingston. Sisko also served aboard the U.S.S. Oknawa.
In 2367, he was served aboard the U.S.S. Saratoga as a Lieutenant Commander when the ship was lost in the Battle of Wolf 359.
He lost his wife, Jennifer Sisko, during the battle with the Borg. He and his, Jake Sisko, escaped safely.
In 2369, he took command of Deep Space Nine (Terok Nor) which was abandoned by the Cardassians.
He was also promoted to Commander. He also found the Bajoran Wormhole which housed the Bajoran Prophets.
He was deemed as the Bajoran Emissary since he found them.
In 2371, he began to date Kasidy Yates. He continued to have feelings for her after she was convicted of supplying the Maquis with weapons.
The relationship continued after she was freed from prison. He was promoted to Captain.
He persuaded the Romulan government to join the war against the Dominion.
He used illegal measures to get this done with the help of
Garak. When Deep Space Nine was taken by the Dominion, Sisko was reassigned to a desk job at Starbase 375.
In 2374, he was awarded the Christopher Pike Medal of Valor for reclaiming Deep Space Nine.
During the same year, he took the death of Jadzia Dax hard. He took a three month leave from Starfleet to return home on Earth.
He learned the real truth of his mother. Sarah Sisko had left his father after he was born.
She was killed in a hovercraft accident in 2336. She became a Bajoran Prophet.
He began to have visions from her.
When Sisko and Yates became engaged, Sarah Sisko warned him of great sorrow that would come if they were to marry. He did not take the advice and married
Yates in 2375 aboard Deep Space Nine.
After the Dominion War, he returned to the fire caves on Bajor where he confronted the Pah-wraith that was inhibiting Gul Dukat.
Sisko plunged with Dukat into the fire caves fulfilling his destiny. He became a Bajoran Prophet after his death like Sarah.
