Biography

     William Riker was born on August 14, 2335 in Valdez, Alaska on Earth. His parents were Kyle and Betty C. Riker.  His mother died when he was two.  His father abandoned him when he was 15. He was a big fan of Jazz music.

     He went to Starfleet Academy in 2353 and graduated in 2357.  His first assignment was as a Conn Officer aboard the U.S.S. Pegasus, which disappeared in 2358.  He was also stationed on Betazed during the early part of his career. He met Deanna Troi while there.  The two dated for sometime.  He also served as a Lieutenant aboard the U.S.S. Potemkin.

     He was promoted to First Officer aboard the U.S.S. Hood before being transferred to the U.S.S. Enterprise-D in 2364.

     He was offered the commands of the U.S.S. Drake, U.S.S. Aries, U.S.S. Melbourne, and U.S.S. Hood.  He finally accepted command of the U.S.S. Titan in 2379.  He took temporary command of the U.S.S. Enterprise-D when Captain Jean-Luc Picard was kidnapped by the Borg.

     He married Deanna Troi in Alaska in 2379.  They both moved to the Titan after the incident with Shinzon.
