Biography

     Nog's father was Rom and was the nephew of Quark.  Nog became friends with Jake Sisko.

     He worked at his uncle's bar for a number of years.  In 2371, he underwent the Ferengi Attainment Ceremony.

     Nog studied for the Starfleet Academy Preparatory Program.  In 2372, he left for Starfleet Academy.  In 2373, he returned to Deep Space Nine for a cadet field-study assignment.  He was the first Ferengi to enter Starfleet Academy.

     He was promoted to Ensign in 2374. He lost his leg due to a battle with the Jem'Hadar at AR-558.  In 2375, he became a Lieutenant, after Captain Benjamin Sisko put in for it.
