Biography

     Leonard McCoy was born in 2227.  His father was David McCoy.  He attended the University of Mississippi on Earth in 2245.  He graduated in 2253 from a medical school.

     He joined the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in 2255.  He retired in 2369.  He returned in 2271 at the request on Captain James T. Kirk.

     In 2285, he was assigned to the Enterprise to stop Khan from using the Genesis Device.  Captain Spock placed his katra into McCoy's brain before his death.  Kirk led a rescue mission to the Genesis Planet to rescue a reborn Spock.  Spock's katra and body were reunited on Vulcan.  McCoy and the rest of the crew were charged including stealing the Enterprise.  Those charges were dropped in 2286 after the crew saved Earth from the whale-song aliens.

     In 2293, he was convicted of Klingon Chancellor Gorkon.  He was sent to a hostile planet with Kirk.  The conviction was later overturned.

     In 2364, he made an inspection of the U.S.S. Enterprise-D with Data.
