The Kretassans were a warp capable humanoid civilization to the planet Kreetassa in the Alpha Quadrant.
Their language is very complex. Some of their words are very similar.
The Kreetassans have an elaborate facial structure. They wore long hair and braided it. They wear long brown embellished gowns.
The consider eating to be a very private and should be performed alone. The crew of the NX-01 Enterprise offended the Kreetassans when they ate in front of the Kreetassans.
In front of the Hall of Diplomacy stands a row of Alvera trees that are over 300 years old. These are considered to be cultural treasures by the Kreetassans. Defacing them is a major offense, however, if it is an accident, a special ceremony takes place. This involves cutting the tree into pieces. Captain Jonathan Archer's dog, Porthos, would urinate on one of the trees.
