Biography

     Kira Nerys was born in 2343 in the Dahkur Providence on Bajor.  She joined the Shakaar resistence cell during the Cardassian Occupation in 2355.

     She fought the Cardassians numerous times during the occupation.  In 2369, she opposed the Federation helping to run Terok Nor (Deep Space Nine).  She became First Officer of the station.

     In 2370, she became romantically involved with Vadek Bareil then with Shakaar in 2372.

     She became a surrogate mother of Kirayoshi O'Brien when Keiko O'Brien became injured.  She gave birth to Kirayoshi in 2373.

     In 2374, Kira learned the real truth of what really happened to her mother.  She used the Orb of Time to travel to the past. She learned that her mother had became a comfort woman for the Cardassians.  Kira finally accepted of what her mother had done.

     Late 2374, she began to date Odo. She took it very hard when he decided to return home to his people after the Dominion War.

     In the late part of 2375, Kira became a resistance fighter again.  This time she became one against the Dominion on Cardassia. She became Commanding Officer of Deep Space Nine after Captain Benjamin Sisko became a Bajoran Prophet.
