Biography

     Garak was a former agent of the Cardassian Obsidian Order until he was exiled to Terok Nor (Deep Space Nine) in 2368. He opened a clothing shop on Terok Nor. He was the only Cardassian left on the station when the Bajorans and Federation took over the station. He had a cranial implant installed in his skull to resist torture when he was an operative Obsidian Order. It began to malfunction, and Doctor Julian Bashir removed it.

     In 2372, he fell in love with Gul Dukat's daughter Tora Ziyal. He was devastated when Damar killed Ziyal.
