The El-Aurian are a humanoid species known for their listening. They came from the El-Aurian system. They have a lifespan of over 500 years.
They have traveled great distances and are spread throughout the galaxy. They were attacked by the Borg in 2265. Most of the El-Aurians were assimilated.
In 2293, the Federation transported a group of them after they escaped from the Borg. They were aboard the ships, SS Lakul and SS Robert Fox. The ship were caught in a nexus and only a few of them survived before the ships were destroyed.
