Terry Farrell, born November 19, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is an American
actress and former fashion model best known for portraying Jadzia Dax in Star
Trek: Deep Space Nine and Regina "Reggie" Kostas in Becker.
Farrell began her career as a fashion model, signing with Elite Model Management
at age 16. She appeared on the covers of Vogue (Italian and German editions) and
modeled for Mademoiselle before transitioning to acting. Her early roles
included Paper Dolls (1984), Back to School (1986), and guest appearances in

In 1993, she
was cast as Jadzia Dax, the Trill science officer of Deep Space Nine. Her
character was a fan favorite, known for her wisdom, humor, and combat skills.
She left the series after six seasons, leading to Jadzia’s dramatic exit and the
introduction of Ezri Dax. Farrell later starred in Becker (1998–2002) alongside
Ted Danson, but was unexpectedly written out after four seasons.
She retired from acting in 2003 and moved to Hershey, Pennsylvania, focusing on
family life. In 2017, she resumed her career, appearing at conventions and
reprising Jadzia Dax in Star Trek Online. She was married to Brian Baker
(2002–2015) and later to Adam Nimoy (2018–2022). An asteroid, 26734
Terryfarrell, was named in her honor in 2001.
