Robin Curtis

Robin Curtis was born in 1955 or 1956 in New York Mills, New York. She developed an early interest in acting and pursued theater studies at the State University of New York at Oswego, graduating in 1978.

Curtis is best known for replacing Kirstie Alley as Lieutenant Saavik in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984) and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986). Her portrayal of Saavik was more reserved and traditionally Vulcan compared to Alley’s version, which had subtle emotional undertones. While her performance received mixed reactions from fans, she remains a notable part of Star Trek history.

Beyond Star Trek, Curtis appeared in various films, including Ghost Story (1981), Hexed (1993), and Santa with Muscles (1996). She also had guest roles in television series such as Knight Rider, MacGyver, Babylon 5, and Star Trek: The Next Generation, where she played Tallera, a Vulcan disguised as a Romulan, in the two-part episode Gambit (1993)..

Curtis transitioned away from acting in 1999 and later became a real estate agent in Manlius, New York.
