 Martha Hackett is an American actress, born on February 21, 1961, in Boston, 
Massachusetts. She studied at Harvard University/Radcliffe College and began her 
acting career in the 1980s, appearing in television and film.

Hackett is best known for her role as Seska, a Cardassian spy disguised as a 
Bajoran Maquis in Star Trek: Voyager. She first appeared in the episode Parallax 
(1995) and became a recurring antagonist throughout the first two seasons. Seska 
was revealed to be working with the Kazon, betraying Captain Janeway and the 
crew of USS Voyager. Her character was ultimately killed in Basics, Part II 
(1996), but she returned in Worst Case Scenario (1997) and Shattered (2000).
     Hackett also appeared in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 
as Romulan Sub-Commander T’Rul in The Search, Part I & II (1994). She was 
originally considered for the role of Jadzia Dax, but the part went to Terry 
Farrell.
     Beyond Star Trek, Hackett has acted in 
films such as Carnosaur (1993), Leprechaun 2 (1994), and Alexander and the 
Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (2014). She has also appeared in 
television series including NCIS, Masters of Sex, and Days of Our Lives.
