Laurence Luckinbill was born on November 21, 1934, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, USA.
He studied theater at the University of Arkansas and later earned a Master of
Fine Arts from the Catholic University of America.
Luckinbill has had a diverse career as an actor, playwright, and director,
working in film, television, and theater. He is best known for his one-man stage
performances, portraying historical figures such as Theodore Roosevelt, Ernest
Hemingway, Clarence Darrow, and Lyndon B. Johnson.
In Star Trek V: The Final
Frontier (1989), Luckinbill played Sybok, the half-brother of Spock.
Beyond Star Trek, Luckinbill starred in The Delphi Bureau, appeared in Law &
Order, Columbo, Murder, She Wrote, and had roles in films like Cocktail (1988).
He has also written and directed numerous theatrical productions.
Luckinbill is married to Lucie Arnaz, daughter of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz,
and they have three children together.
