Jennifer Lien, born August 24, 1974, in Palos Heights, Illinois, is a former American actress best known for portraying Kes, the Ocampa medical assistant, in Star Trek: Voyager. She also appeared in Phenom, American History X, and Men in Black: The Animated Series.

Lien grew up in Illinois as the youngest of three children. She joined the Illinois Theatre Center at age 13, performing in Shakespearean plays before transitioning to television. Her first TV appearance was in Brewster Place (1990), starring Oprah Winfrey. She later played Hannah Moore in Another World (1991–1992) and Roanne in Phenom (1993–1994).

In 1995, Lien was cast as Kes, a telepathic alien with a seven-year lifespan, in Voyager. She remained on the show for three seasons before departing in 1997. Her exit was reportedly due to creative changes, though later reports suggested personal struggles played a role. She briefly returned for the episode Fury (2000).
Beyond Star Trek, Lien voiced Agent Elle in Men in Black: The Animated Series (1997–2000) and appeared in American History X (1998). She retired from acting in 2002 to pursue a medical career.

Lien married Phil Hwang, and they have one child. She has battled personal problems since she left Voyager.
