Jack Henry Quaid was born on April 24, 1992, in Los Angeles, California. He is
the son of actors Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid. Quaid attended NYU Tisch School of
the Arts, where he studied acting before making his film debut in The Hunger
Games (2012) as Marvel, a tribute from District 1. He reprised the role briefly
in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013).
Following his early success, Quaid starred in the HBO drama Vinyl (2016) and
appeared in Logan Lucky (2017). His breakout role came in 2019 when he was cast
as Hughie Campbell in The Boys, a satirical superhero series on Amazon Prime
Video. His portrayal of the reluctant vigilante earned him widespread
recognition.
Quaid has also worked extensively
in voice acting, playing Ensign Brad Boimler in Star Trek: Lower Decks
(2020–2024) and voicing Superman in My Adventures with Superman (2023–present).
He made a live-action appearance as Boimler in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds in
2023.
In film, Quaid starred as Richie Kirsch in
Scream (2022) and played physicist Richard Feynman in Oppenheimer (2023). He is
set to appear in Companion and Novocaine (both 2025).
