Ella Purnell is an English actress born on September 17, 1996, in London, England. She began her career as a child actress in West End theatre before transitioning to film and television.

     She made her film debut in Never Let Me Go (2010), playing the younger version of Keira Knightley's character. She later starred in Intruders (2011), Maleficent (2014), and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016), which marked a turning point in her career. Other notable films include Churchill (2017) and Army of the Dead (2021).

     On television, Purnell has appeared in Ordeal by Innocence (2018), Belgravia (2020), and Yellowjackets (2021–present). She also stars in Fallout (2024–present) and Sweetpea (2024–present). Additionally, she has voiced Jinx in Arcane (2021–2024) and Gwyndala in Star Trek: Prodigy (2021–2024).
