Brett Gray is an American actor and singer, born on August 7, 1997, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is best known for his role as Jamal Turner in the Netflix series On My Block and as Dal R'El in Star Trek: Prodigy.

     Gray discovered his passion for acting early, performing in his first professional show at the Academy of Music when he was just seven years old. He later attended The Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts, where he majored in theater.

     Beyond acting, Gray is also a musician. He released his debut single, "Old Thing Back," in June 2018, followed by his EP Easy Daze on his birthday that same year. He has cited Usher's Confessions as an influence on his music.
