Dourif is an American actor, born on March 18, 1950, in Huntington, West 
Virginia. He is known for his intense performances and ability to portray 
complex, often unsettling characters. His breakthrough role was Billy Bibbit in 
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975), which earned him an Academy Award 
nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

(1997), and Deadwood (2004–2006). His television work includes guest roles in 
The X-Files, Babylon 5, and Once Upon a Time.]
     
In Star Trek: Voyager, Dourif played Lon Suder, a Betazoid crewman with violent 
tendencies. He appeared in three episodes: Meld, Basics, Part I, and Basics, 
Part II. His character was a sociopath who struggled with his violent impulses, 
leading to a dramatic mind-meld with Tuvok. Suder ultimately redeemed himself by 
sacrificing his life to help Voyager’s crew regain control of the ship.
