Babs Olusanmokun was born on September 18, 1984, in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a
Nigerian-American actor known for his work in film, television, and video games.
Olusanmokun is multilingual, fluent in English, French, Yoruba, and Portuguese,
and holds a third-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
He began his acting career in 2004, appearing in Indocumentados. Over the years,
he has starred in films such as Mother of George (2013), Wrath of Man (2021),
and Dune (2021), where he played Jamis. He reprised the role in Dune: Part Two
(2024). His television credits include Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The
Defenders, Black Mirror, The Widow, and Too Old to Die Young.
In 2022, Olusanmokun joined Star Trek: Strange New Worlds as Dr. Joseph M'Benga,
the chief medical officer of the USS Enterprise.
