Brunali

     The Brunali are an agricultural species. They are a humanoid species. Their planet is nearby a Borg transwarp conduit in the Delta Quadrant.

     After the several Borg attacks, only 10,000 Brunali remained. To protect themselves, they reverted to a low-tech state.  Any technology they develop and it is kept hidden.

     They were skilled in genetics and used this as a tool against the Borg. They genetically engineered a child named Icheb and sent him to the Borg. A virus spread killing all the Borg except the children.

     Starfleet made first contact with the Brunali in 2376. It was Voyager crewmember Seven of Nine who discovered the history of Icheb. Icheb's parents once again tried to send him to a Borg ship but instead he was rescued once again by Voyager.
