Anticans

      The Anticans were from the planet Antica.  The planet was located in the Beta Renner system.

     The Anticans were a carnivorous species.  They preferred to eat their meat alive.

     In 2364, they applied for Federation membership.  The USS Enterprise-D transported Antican delegates to the planet Parliament to help resolved a longtime dispute with their sister planet Selay as part of the admission process.
