Andorians

      The Andorians are from the either the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.  The Andorians have a blue skin and white hair.  A sub-species of the Andorians are called the Aenar.  The Aenar have white skin and have demonstrated the capability to telepathically communicate with each other.

     The Andorians have a higher metabolism then Humans.  Andorians are unable to withstand high temperatures.  They could lose 10% body weight in just 2 days.

     The Andorians and Aenar have antennae on top of their heads.  These were used for balance.  It could take nine months for it to regrow.  The movement of the antennae would represent emotions.

     The Andorians were a military race.  Their hand-held phasers had no stun setting.  Andorians would serve in the Andorian Imperial Guard.  It was considered honorable to serve in the guard.  Female Andorians could serve in the Imperial Guard.

     Their traditional involved the ushaan, a code of honor demanding a duel to the death.  An ushann-tor was used in the duel.  There was some 12,000 different rules in the duel.  The fight could be called off, if one of the combatants became disabled and unable to continue.

     Their weddings were known usually to require groups of four people.

     They also appeared to have an artistic side.  It was considered that the Andorian Academy was the best in all of the Federation.

 Notable Andorians

Shran- Shran was a member of the Andorian Imperial Guard.  He became friends with NX-Enterprise captain Jonathan Archer.  The two would help each in troubled times.

Talas- Talas was the tactical officer aboard the Imperial warship, Kumari.  She came from a long family line of military tradition.
