The Ba'ku are a civilzation within the Briar Patch. Their planet, Ba'ku is located in Sector 441.

     They were a technologically advanced humanoid civilzation. During the 21st century, the race developed weapons of mass destruction. A group left the planet and found an isolated planet.

     In 2375, first contact took place with the Ba'ku during a failed cultural observation. Starfleet officer Data warned the Ba'ku that Starfleet and the Son'a were their enemies.

     Captain Jean-Luc Picard went to the planet to capture Data. The crew discovered that Starfleet was planning to relocate the Ba'ku so Starfleet and the Son'a could harvest radition located around the planet. The crew also discovered that the Ba'ku and the Son'a were the same race.

     The plan was halted by the crew. Starfleet Admiral Matthew Dougherty had been on the Son'a plans to take the planet.  At the end, stome of the Son'a went home to their families.
