The Antedeans are from the Alpha Quadrant.  The come from the planet Antede III.  Their appearance is of a fish-like humanoid race.

     They are capable of spaceflight, however, the find it traumatic and will therefore go into a self-induced catatonic state.  At the end of the voyage, they will require vast amounts of food.

     Antedeans have minds that can be read by Betazoids.  The Klingons consider the Antedeans to be a handsome race.

     In 2365, the Enterprise-D escorted two Antedean dignitaries from Antede III to Pacifica.  The Antedeans were to be given an opportunity to join the Federation.  Instead, the two dignitaries were planning on blowing the conference up.
